For a few years now Montana Colors‘ presence at the Creative World Fair in Frankfurt has been characterized by the conceptual originality of our stands. Transforming a corporative space into a new dimension is a striking way to suggest the possible uses for the MTN products, while in the same stride, representing the creative spirit that is championed by our brand. For Creative World 2017 our firm presented a risky yet fun proposal that didn’t leave anyone unscathed.
Inauguration on Thursday, February 9th at 8pm.
Exhibition runs February 10th until March 25th 2017.
We live in an era in which information has an ever growing presence and influence, and each person makes their decisions based on certain characteristics.
Everything has an inherent value that attracts the specific nature of those who want to look at it. It’s like an investigation whose purpose is centered on the unity and relationship between the real and the imaginary, the new and the old, the avant-garde and the traditional, and graffiti and classic painting. Through this encounter, everything acquires a new meaning in the world of painting; one that is different from what it would be if it was situated in the real world. It is an investigation about the specific characteristics and states of people or goods.
On Friday, February 3rd, El Montana Cafè Restaurant will be hosting yet another event that you won’t want to miss.
And what could be better than a title that references the group that’s organizing it; Hatelovers. Aisa, Crem, Malicia, Niña, Numi, Pera and Vegan Bunnies make up the diverse collective of graffiti writers whose name responds to a double edged sword that exists within graffiti: love as creation and hate as destruction – beauty and evil in equal parts.
We where asking ourselves who would be fit to close up the Genesis project, and now we can present Txemy. This Canarian artist lives in Barcelona since many years and his energetic and colorful style will now star the last edition of the event which will round up a full year of interventions at the Metric Market in Barcelona.
“El Descanso” means rest, as in relaxation, and this is the theme which will approach the project with a interactive urban arts installation together with three painted murals, projections and even a expo. There is no doubt about that the ground floor of this restaurant on the Diagonal avenue will be sparkling in color and full of good vibrations… I would not miss it…
Remember, tomorrow wednesday 1st of February from 19h.
This weekend a documentary called “I Love Med” will have its release in Barcelona. The production shares the experiences of various urban artists in the areas around Costa Brava, all shot during the hot catalan summer. This is a quite ambitious project which has managed to gather over 40 artists and celebrities in an experience where the most creative side of mankind is blended with the mediterranean nature.
The Madrid gallery Swinton is vouching for the disquieting artist Sabek for its next exhibition. Montana Colors has given its support to the show, “Escisión“, which will remain open for public viewing from December 15th until January 21, 2017.
“We live in a society that keeps us disconnected from ourselves, from our vital energy sources and from our instincts. We’ve forgotten that we are another animal amongst the rest and that we possess wild genes: the quick response upon hearing a noise, the faster heart beat when in danger, the silence and stillness when observing.”
