Os Gemeos once again raises their work up another notch. Since a week ago, at 11:57 midnight, the screens of Times Square in New York serve as a platform upon which the animated characters from their new ‘Parallel Collection’ project appear. The project is part of Midnight Moment, a monthly proposal by The Times Square Advertising Coalition (TSAC) and Times Square Arts, that up until August 31st will feature Os Gemeos’ animations at the Broadway Ave. and 7th Ave. intersection.

‘Parallel Collection’ breaks down the barriers between imagination and reality in a unique and massive way, thanks to the peculiarities of the medium used on this occasion; a barrage of screens that transform into doors and lead us to Os Gemeos’ fantastic universe.

You can keep track of the project by using the Instagram hashtag, #midnightmoment

  • MTN SPEED, ‘WHATEVER YOUR TASTE’ PART 2

Here is the second part of ‘Whatever Your Taste‘.

There’s an expression in Spanish that says, ”para gustos, colores”, that alludes to the fact that a person can have a certain taste, and although it be different, it shouldn’t be any less respected.

In this MTN Speed promo video by Graffitishop, that’s divided into two parts, the issue of taste is approached in a rather mischievous manner. Utilizing different caps, different sexual positions are written in different tags styles. We all already know that just as much as with graffiti as with sex, there’s different tastes for everyone.

We let you with some pictures of the making-of:

On one social network or another, you’ve probably seen an image related to the incredible intervention carried out by the Germen collective in the Pachuca neighborhood of Mexico. It’s the largest mural to have been painted in Mexico, and it’s a marvelous, colorful masterpiece that took over a year of work to complete. It is interventions like these that once again demonstrate the transformative potential that urban art can have on the urban landscapes in cities, and the positive repercussion that it can have on the lives of its inhabitants. On Richard Lopez’s Vimeo channel we found this video about the extraordinary intervention that has showered the Las Palmitas neighborhood with color.
