Everything is set and ready for the second edition of the urban arts festival Ús Barcelona which we proudly can say that Montana Colors is the main sponsor of. 56 artists will participate this year by making interventions on murals and on the ground in addition to installations and performances.
The place of this years edition will be the street calle Pere IV (between calle Fluvià and Selva de Mar) in the rural industrial area of Poble Nou, Barcelona. Workshops for both older and younger participants will be held together with conferences, music, grastronomy and a art market, and the list of things to see within their program continues. This is a project with focus on the participation of the visitors, new formats and artistic tendencies to which you should not miss the opportunity to attend.
MURAL’H is the first Urban Art project to be organized in L’Hospitalet del Llobregat (Barcelona, Spain), in coordination with the town council. Over a 12 month period, more than 3000 m2 of grey walls will undergo change and Mtn-World will monitor the process of each mural. It’s encouraging that the government institutions are in favor of such initiatives, because without a doubt, they constitute a cultural investment, wellbeing, and diversity that bring color and life to the city.
KWETS opens the project with the intervention shown here.
Broken System Productions presents, ‘The Wild North‘. The guys from BSP move from Sydney to Copenhagen, demonstrating the proof in both cities. 10 minutes of unprecedented footage that without a doubt, raises the bar. Be sure not to miss the last part.

When talking about Suso33, one can fall short of words, not only because he’s one of the Spanish writers with the longest running careers, nor is it for his unconditional support to Montana Colors since the very beginning.
Creator of a new language which combines graffiti with the performative arts, both his most conventional paintings and performances manage to communicate through emotion and action; the artistic essence which lies hidden in graffiti.
It’s for that reason that the Centro de Arte Tomás y Valiente de Fuenlabrada, CEART, presents the first retrospective dedicated to Suso33. The exhibition curated by Susana Blas, will guide us through a three-decade career which starts at his beginnings as a graffiti writer, and journeys through to his stage projects. In turn, we are given the opportunity to get to know the more intimate and existential sides of this artist and writer from Madrid. (more…)
