Not even a week has passed since the expo “THE BIRTH OF THE COMIC” had its inauguration at the Montana Gallery in Barcelona. This one-time event offers us more than a glimpse at some of the first comic sketches from the sunday funnies of the late 19th century and early 20th that the collector Pascal Hanrion has been compiling with great fervor.
The connection with the public was amazing; some were perplexed, others fascinated, as this was a primitive artistic inspiration to the writers who came out that day. Here are a few photos that Rodrigo Mirando took at the inauguration as well as a few other examples.
We remind you that the exposition will remain intact until March 26th, 2011.
