The Swab Barcelona festival that will be held from October 1st to 4th, with the support of Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) and Montana Colors, has once again decorated the stairs of different metro stations for the fifth consecutive year with some of the creations by the most prominent design schools in Barcelona.
Entitled, Swab Stairs, the intervention is part of the Swab Off program and the TMB culture project which aim at exhibiting the creative works by students in order to give a fresh look to the everyday spaces in the city.
On June 18th the Swab Stairs project was presented in the Gran Via/ Passeig de Gracia metro station lobby, in the presence of Mirka Borachok, director of advertising and TMB Corporate ID, Joaquin Díez Gascón, Director of Swab Barcelona, as well as the students whose works have been selected. The stairs will remain decorated untill next Thursday 2nd of July.
We leave you here with some images of what came out of this powerful initiative that brings the touch of color necessary for the dialogue between the city and its citizens through art.
