On January 27th we celebrated the launch of the long-awaited 6th issue of Tramontana, Montana Colors’ free graffiti and contemporary art publication, with an inaugural event at B-Murals Centre d’art (Nau Bostik – Barcelona, cultural center). We are going to summarize what awaits you in this interesting edition and tell you about the fun-filled party that we organized.
This brilliant issue brings us an unparalleled selection with reports of many kinds with a focus that ranges from the most underground graffiti to the most impressive artistic manifestations linked to urban art: from the story of the late muralist Hyuro, the work of Irene López, the illustrations of Nihao or Tiago Majuelos, to the sketches of Pure TFP or the report on Cheryl Dunn’s documentary about Dash Snow. Not to mention the incredible “Las Manuelas” project, the photographic vision of Mark Madness and Ronald Pizzoferrato, to a unique report about the German graffiti scene through different, specific characters such as Edward Nightinghale or Peter Stelgiz. You will find all this and much more in this long-awaited sixth installment of Tramontana.
“Just 5 years have passed since Tramontana Magazine published its first issue, and now we are pleased to present the sixth edition, with a cover by the Brazilian artist Nihao.
Faithful to our motto, “Still Digging!” our curiosity and research have led us this time around to discover artistic profiles and proposals within the wide spectrum in which we usually like to operate: from the strictest graffiti to the beauty and subtlety of concepts with a more solid base in realist or abstract painting.
We believe that it has been worth the wait, but now it is up to you to decide 🙂

The release party turned into a true ceremony with different types of installations and interventions. An exhibition space displayed a selection of large-format photographs courtesy of Lecta and Vanguard Gràfic, as well as the spectacular project “Las Manuelas,” courtesy of IED, where the limited edition of 11 textile pieces was presented, featuring the designs of prominent international names as a result of a connection between art, technology and craftsmanship.
Thanks to the support of fritz-kola, the Dutch artist Bier en Brood painted a piece live that was also auctioned live later on, and whose proceeds are going entirely to the non-profit association Homeless Entrepreneur, towards its yearslong struggle to improve the living conditions of the homeless. All of this went down to the rhythm of the musical selection by two famous names from Barcelona’s music scene: Miqui Puig and Dive Dibosso, while drinks, courtesy of Moritz and fritz-kola for the non-drinkers, were flowing.
