We were very intrigued to find out what OakOak had prepared for his exhibition at Montana Gallery Barcelona. And just as the exhibition title suggested, the French artist’s stop off at the gallery meant inserting himself into a context different to the habitual.

This exhibition, the first by the artist in the Iberian territory, compiles a selection of the best of his funny style by means of a bunch of characters that have been playing the leading roles in his well known interactive street scenes; ranging from Street Fighter video game characters to The Simpsons, and on to Rick and Morty. It’s all presented in an artistic context, emphasizing a redundant game of irony displayed in varying original formats.

As always, the Montana Gallery Barcelona’s inauguration was attended by a hefty amount of visitors, including the usual Montana Colors exhibition space recruits.
