The profile of Good Guy Boris is a now synonymous with his completely unique approach to graffiti. Eschewing the anonymity preferred by most writers involved in vandalism and trespassing, he is an activist that forces us to consider the limits of fame, morality, and identity in graffiti.
He has long demonstrated his ability to use social media as a way to publicise his stunts, and his latest venture involves him attempting to monetize his latest adventures by reserving behind-the-scenes footage exclusively for subscribers to his OnlyFans page.

MTN World caught up with the Bulgarian agitator during the early stages of his spraycation through Eastern Europe.

Hi Boris! Thanks a lot for writing to us from the road. Where exactly do you find yourself now?
Internet. My current location doesn’t matter.
We caught the very first part of the road movie where you explained the project in quite some detail, but can you summarize for our readers why you’ve embarked on the mission at the present moment in time?
That was the announcement of the project. I pre-recorded the message before I left Greece and took off on the journey to create the Grifters Code: Unlockdown experience on OnlyFans. The idea was to challenge the current situation of global pandemic restrictions and to document the process, creating a digital diary on my brand new OnlyFans profile, along with recording a new Grifters Code film and a photo publication.

‘This is something never seen or experienced before. I literally gave the option to everybody to enter behind the scenes of a trip intended to create a video and a book. The end products – the film and the book – will be curated, edited and will never be able to show what the travel log would.’

Much of your graffiti and interviews have a humorous slant, but it seems you’re reaching the end of your patience with the pandemic and the restrictions that have been imposed to deal with it.
I’m just being dramatic to grab the attention. It’s all chill. We have all the necessary tools to bypass the pandemic restrictions. But yes Greece took a huge “L” with their 6 months lockdown, curfews, SMS permissions, for those who respected them in any case.
Painting rolling stock is challenging at the best of times. What made you decide to try and return to these types of targets now, when security measures are stricter in virtually every county on the planet?
Rolling stock is easier to paint, especially in time of pandemics. Police look for people on the street. The yards are much easier. Metro systems are a different subject, more specifically Soviet metro systems. I had gotten bored of that type of targets for long time but the pandemic brought the sparkle back by offering new challenges.
Your work is often a comment on controversial themes and taboos like social media and sexuality. Is the graffiti you’re producing on the trip directly influenced by the current world panorama?
Yes and no. I haven’t showed yet what I have painted during the trip. Only the exclusive tier will have access to that, but the finished graffich has never been the point. It’s the process that I am focusing on and showing to the people. For the first time I am publishing content in such way. This is something never seen or experienced before. I literally gave the option to everybody to enter behind the scenes of a trip intended to create a video and a book. The end products – the film and the book – will be curated, edited and will never be able to show what the travel log would.

‘We have all the necessary tools to bypass the pandemic restrictions.’

Since opening the account a couple of weeks ago, you’ve been posting regular content exclusively available to your fans, and some snippets on Instagram. Can you tell us about a couple of highlights of the trip?
We spent seven days in Kyiv trying to paint the metro in the middle of strict pandemics. Everything was closed in the city. The metro system is not accessible to the public. So it was interesting to try and fail multiple times until we succeeded.
You’ve decided to monetize your reports by creating an OnlyFans account, a territory usually occupied by models. How was the decision received? Is it working?
Yes, exactly because of this reason i decided to occupy the platform. Now the door is open for graffich content.
Does the project have an endgame? You’ve hinted at the production of a book…
Of course. The book and the film are not directly related. The main point was to test the platform and the community if they will support such an experiment. We have seen movies, videos and books are being released everyday. Nothing new. Pay-per-view graffich entertainment is something else. Right now I have plans expanding further the OnlyFans experience, beyond the Grifters Code experience and to move more content only for the people who support me.
Thanks a lot for your time. Fare well!
Welcome.
