PEZ, “Qué Alegría”
Opening on Thursday July 7 from 18h to 21h.
Exhibition from June 24 to August 26, 2022.
PEZ (Barcelona, 1976) is one of Barcelona’s best known and most recognizable street artist who, after spending several years expanding his style with national and international exhibitions and interventions (Miami, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo), returns to his hometown for a new and eagerly awaited solo exhibition.
Montana Gallery Barcelona presents “Qué Alegría”, a title that perfectly reflects that feeling full of strength and color motivated by the return to the city that saw him grow as an artist, and that acts as a source of inspiration and creativity.
In this exhibition, PEZ presents many of his findings and concerns in new formats that are incorporated into the more traditional in his work; augmented reality, sculptures in iron, wood, resin, as well as canvases and drawings.
All this to immerse the viewer in a journey through a dreamlike and personal world in which to get lost with the characteristic and cheerful style of the artist in a crazy mix of pop art, psychedelia or graffiti full of mischief and positive energy.
